Global stratification refers to the unequal distribution of wealth, power, prestige, resources, and influence among the world's nations. Put more simply, there is an extreme difference between the richest and poorest nations.

Moreover, compares the wealth, economic stability, status, and power of countries as a whole. By comparing income and productivity between nations, researchers can better identify global inequalities.

Stratification results in inequality when resources, opportunities, and privileges are distributed based on position in social hierarchy.

Global stratification greatly affects the life chances of people around the world. people in the poorest nations live in some of the worst conditions possible. AIDS, malaria, starvation, and other deadly diseases are common. Many people in the poorest nations are illiterate, and a college education remains as foreign to them as their way of life would be to us.

The life of the individuals is affected by stratification because people are placed in higher or lower strata. The lower strata are devoid of certain symbolic rewards and material advantages which improve the quality of the life of the recipient such as wealth, income, health, security in a job, etc.
People in countries around the world experience different access to resources and opportunities and different standards of living, based on their position in the global hierarchy.

How does global stratification contribute to economic inequality?

Global stratification compares the wealth, economic stability, status, and power of countries as a whole. By comparing income and productivity between nations, it identifies global inequalities.

Global inequality causes severe health effects for many people worldwide. Since low levels of income and wealth also often imply insufficient access to healthcare, many people may suffer from severe health conditions or even death since they will not be able to get the appropriate treatment.

Indeed, Global stratification affects the desires of human on state in each globe in terms of their status on life where countries at the top of global hierarchy. Consequently, people living in developed countries have greater access to such sources as food, education, roads and electricity than their counterparts in less developed nations.
